From the Jeep to Humvee, the military seems to give everything it uses an abbreviation or nickname. M.O.L.L.E. is no different -- it stands for Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment. The equipment uses PALS (which stands for Pocket Attachment Ladder Systems) as attachment points on which you can attach other components. So if you have a MOLLE-compatible pack or vest, you can attach additional pouches or other gear to it. This gives you the flexibility to change your gear to fit your mission.

If you have never used the MOLLE system, you will find it a big improvement over ALICE clips and similar click and stick systems. MOLLE allows you to set your tactical gear up to your exact specifications, putting your holster, ammo pouches, first aid kit, dump pouch, radio or other gear exactly where you want it – not where some designer thinks it should be.

All of the items on this page are MOLLE compatible and should work with any other MOLLE compatible system. The PALS also accept ALICE equipment.
